A segment of the show will be a tribute to Buddy Holly & the Crickets with a special guest appearance of "the (real) Peggy Sue " ...yes, that one!, the one Buddy sang about!, and will be selling / autographing / promoting her new book WHATEVER HAPPENED TO PEGGY SUE ? Accompanying this segment will be the "Fireballettes'' (dancers) on stage. Sunday,17th the gospel sing-along features noon buffet being served. Then at 1:30pm, the Fireballs along with the J Bar J GoodNews Band, and other local church praise and worship groups and YOU... we'll all be participating in the gospel sing-along ! Highlighted with a special guest appearance of "Doc" Mayer, a former member of the Michael Martin Murphy tour team. He will be blessing the audience with his cowboy campfire style inspirational poetry ministry...a 'must be there' to see and hear !

Thursday 21st, the Fireballs will be performing In Portales, NM for the Roosevelt County Fair, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Storming the stage will be HomeCookin' - a favorite band from Clovis, NM, 9:00pm until 12:00 midnight !

September

Monday 1st - Labor Day
Stan & George will be featured at approximately 4:30pm on ESPN TV singing either/and/or a short version of "America The Beautiful "/ "God Bless America" for the Ruidoso Downs Race track ALL AMERICAN FUTURITY - the world's richest quarterhorse race. Thanks to the late Wendy Richardson who made the arrangements to coincide the Ruidoso Downs 50th and Fireballs 50th Anniversaries and unfortunately will not be there to see her promotional efforts come to fruition. We miss you Wendy - God bless you and rest in peace.

Thursday 4th through Sunday 7th,
The Fireballs are not in the "main lineup" for the 2008 Clovis Music Fest, but Stan & George will be participating in the "meet & greet" events all 3 days, and also in the Sunday 7th (10:00am) gospel sing-a-long being held at the new Norman and Vi Petty Museum which is located in the downstairs of the Clovis Curry County Chamber building, 105 E Grand. Since the Sunday gospel sing is a Sunday extension of the Clovis Music Festival, other "7th Street Legends" such as Gary & Ramona Tollett; Dave Bigham & Ann Linville (for Robert) of the Roses; Richard Porter; Randy Steele; Homer Tankersley (a/k/a Ken Pepper); "the (real) Peggy Sue"; Ken and Shirley Broad; and other "7th Street Legends" will be participating / hostsing the song leading as well. JOIN US at 10:00am !!

Friday 26th
Fireballs at San Felipe's Hollywood Casino exit # 252 on I-25 between Santa Fe and Albuquerque. Performance time is scheduled for 7:30pm.
